How to Display Seconds In Windows 10 Taskbar Clock
1. Open RUN from start button and then type regedit.
2. This will open the registory editor. There, navigate to the following key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
3. Right-click on the Advanced key on the left pane, and then select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.
4. Name the new DWORD as ShowSecondsInSystemClock, and set its data to 1.
5. Log off and then log back into your Windows account. The taskbar clock should now display the seconds too.
Alternative Method
If you are having a hard time in following those steps, You can try out these one click registry files which eliminates the need to manually edit your computer’s registry. Unlike other clock displaying apps, this file does not create a new clock for taskbar. Rather it takes are of it inherently, which is ideal.
If this also fails, try running the files again using “Run as administrator option.”. Once executed successfully, the clock will start displaying seconds intended and you will not have to follow any of the steps mentioned in the first method. You will also notice that there are two files present within the ZIP. That’s because the other one is to remove the seconds clock. So, in case you get fed up with it or face bugs because of it, you always use this kill switch to turn things as they were.
